DEFINITIONS AND ACTIONS
OF KO & TKO Suspensions CLICK HERE Note On TKO Stops: If the referee stops the bout
before giving a full 10 count and the fighter is standing up on both feet
"At the time of the stop", the suspension may only
be 30 days but could also possibly require written medical approval
from a licensed MD that the fighter is cleared to fight again. HOWEVER...
The referee may choose to stop the bout without/before fully counting
to 10 when the fighter is on the ring floor, in pain, and it is clear
to the referee he/she cannot continue. This will be ruled a Knockout and
will result in a full 45 day suspension. The only exceptions to this
rule may be a low blow, accidental injury or foul injury that caused
the downed fighter to stay down.
