Debuts in Vallejo, CA, USA

SAN SHOU

The IKF Officially Begin their San Shou Division with 2 IKF San Shou Title bouts. Al Loriaux of Boston, MA, USA defeated Sean Douglas of Toledo, Ohio, via, San Jose, CA, USA by Injury TKO when Douglas attempted a jumping leg scissor takedown and landed wrong on his arm and injuring it. Since Loriaux was ahead on points at the time of the injury "AND" the fact that Douglas could not continue, Loriaux became the first ever, IKF San Shou Champion winning the IKF San Shou Rules, U. S. Super Welterweight Title. This bout was later ruled a "No Contest."

In the other San Shou title bout, 2 time National Amateur San Shou Champion Rudy Ott (18-1/2), Boston, MA, USA stopped Cary Nathan, Redwood City, CA, USA by KO at 1:45 of the 3rd round to win the IKF Pro San Shou Rules US Super Middleweight Title.

AMATEUR SAN SHOU

In the first ever, official IKF San Shou Rules Bout, Shawn Salmons, 144 lbs, of San Jose, CA, USA defeated Alan Kanig, 143 lbs, of New York, New York, USA by TKO in round 1.

In the second ever IKF San Shou Rules bout, Marvin Perry, 186 lbs, of Boston, MA, USA defeated Adam Resnick, 186 lbs, of New York, New York, USA by HEAD Kick KO at :22 seconds of round 2.

IKF Promoter Tim Stell of LTD Productions of Fairfield CA, USA along with Budweiser and RINGSIDE INC. will host Professional Championship Kickboxing at the Vallejo Fairgrounds in Vallejo, CA USA this Saturday night, March 20th. The main event will feature Randy Bussart (Current IKF Light Middleweight Full Contact Rules Champion, 16-1 with 4 KO's) of Fairfield, CA, USA vs Miguel Reyes (14-4 with 10 KO's) of San Diego, CA, USA for the vacant IKF Pro Full Contact Rules United States Welterweight Title. Past 3 time undefeated IKF National Full Contact Rules Amateur Champion Dave Marinoble (12-0-2 with 5 KO's) of Roseville, CA, USA will face up against seasoned pro, Larry Jarret (34-4 with 14 KO's) of Florida, USA for the vacant IKF Pro Full Contact Rules United States Middleweight Title.

The event will also feature the first IKF SAN SHOU Title bouts of 1999. In one of the bouts, Rudy Ott, a 3 time San Shou Champion of Vancouver Washington, USA will meet Cary Nathan of Redwood City California, USA for the vacant IKF SAN SHOU United States Super Middleweight Title.

In another IKF SAN SHOU title bout, Al Loriaux of Boston MA, USA will face Sean Douglas of Dayton Ohio, USA for the vacant IKF SAN SHOU United States Super Welterweight Title.

Two current IKF United States Amateur Champions will face off against each other in a unique grudge match for each others IKF title. IKF International Rules Welterweight Champion Juan Escobar of Gilroy, CA, USA (8-2 with 5 KO's) will meet head to head with IKF Super Welterweight International Rules Champion Yia Mua of Fresno, CA, USA (7-0 with 4 KO's)

The other IKF amateur title bout will be between Darren Freeman of Susanville, CA, USA and Danny Kelly of San Jose, CA, USA for the IKF International Rules West Coast Amateur Super Middleweight Title.
